I totally dig your comic it is just as weird as I am! How do you guys create your art for the comic and come up the ideas and stuff cause I wanted to maybe start my own?

Answer:

Thanks, we love feedback, especially when its positive, though we like negative feedback too because it can help us improve. Your opinion is appreciated. :D. That's great news. I (hunter) create the comic using the free software program Gimp, which is just like photoshop. I encourage everyone to use it if you like to do digital art, because its easy and free. Two bonuses since I am cheap and lazy. We create the Stonies by having a brainstorming circle up in our loft. I suggest finding some close friends to help you out, because it helps to have the extra hands and brains to do the labor. You also have the added benefit of more people editing the comic to make it the best it can be. And finally all the unique ideas really come together to create a funnier more dynamic comic. You can base your ideas off current events or using personal stories as a base and work from there, just remember when using inside jokes that you need to expand them for the public not just you and your friends. It is a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. Be sure to send us the results we would love to see them!

Dear Stonies,

This last weekend my folks found my stash. Now I am grounded and if they saw that I was on the computer they'd be really pissed. I know they tried it when they were younger, so I don't get why are they acting so uncool about it. How do I get them to accept that I enjoy smoking pot?


Answer:

Well Shroom I think lots of younger smokers encounter that same problem. And the answer is not a simple one, because every parent is different. What is important for you to understand is that they are "uncool" about it for several reasons stemming from the fact that they care about you. You might gain their acceptance if you do well in school, are social and spend time with your family, or by having a job and showing your maturity. Your parents want to see you grow into a successful person, and they know smoking might interfere with that. You also have to consider you put your family at risk if you are breaking the law by smoking illegally. Check the laws in your area, if your state does not approve of personal or medical use, consider the consequences. Not every parent will accept it with open arms, even as time goes by and you sometimes just have to accept that. Just keep your relationship with your parents healthy by staying on the right track.
